The Challenge
The redevelopment
included significant landscaping and reinforcement
of the nature strip foundations as well as
the extension of extremely popular shared
bike / walkway.
The new section of path
needed to be illuminated in accordance with
Council policy. The council engineers required
a lighting solution that was in keeping with
the delicate beauty of the area, would provide
sufficient light and could be provided with
aesthetically pleasing structures.
In addition there was
a genuine desire to avoid the need to bring
mains power in via unsightly aerials or costly
and disruptive trenches from across the road.
