is a great way to do your bit for the environment.
Photovoltaic systems are a great way to support the environment. Unlike electricity supplied from coal fired generators (source of 90% of NSW electricity) that produce approximately 1kg of CO2 per kWh of electricity, photovoltaic systems do not produce any CO2 emissions. The energy used in the production of the solar panels is recovered within a few years of operation. Photovoltaic systems are silent and require no fuel. Photovoltaic systems are also maintenance free, which means once they are installed you don’t have to worry about them.
With a 990W system you can produce 1200kWh of electricity annually and prevent the emission of approximately 1200 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere per year. With a 1980W system
you can save the emission of over 2.4 tonnes of
CO2 emissions per year.
