Schools and businesses are realising the wide ranging benefits of adding solar electricity for energy creation.
Solartech is geared up to handle projects ranging from single panel installations, larger enterprise solutions, and solar in schools.

National Solar Schools Program

This program is a combination of Government & Business for the Education of young Australians in the future of their energy. The program is designed to start schools down the path of self-sustainable energy production with their own grid interactive or stand alone solar system. It also educates the students on how the future of energy is made; how solar works and more. With structured lesson plans and teaching resources to meet the requirements of the syllabus.

Taking advantage of the $50,000 government grants for renewable energy production & conservation in schools combined with water & environmental saving initiatives by SCRAP.
Why Solar Schools?
Solar power will be one of the largest shifts in energy production since coal, with every future home relying on solar power. By educating our children now, they will be ready for the future.

To date most of us have grown up on coal burning technology providing energy to the grid. After only a hundred and fifty years of full scale mining and coal PowerStation’s in Australia, Climate Change has become a reality. Climate change is a reality that our future generations will need to accommodate and contend with.

In the short term the price of electricity from the grid is projected to increase anywhere from between 20 – 200% of its current price over the next few years. For schools this will become a significant concern and demand for solar power will increase dramatically at the same time. We are encouraging organisations, homes and schools to think ahead and start now.

Schools Rebates

The Australian Government Rebate program is designed to provide a real and compelling program that will make solar power a reality for every school.

$20,000 is made available to install a solar system with a minimum size of 2 Kilowatts roughly translates into:

10 or 12 Solar Panels on the roof
Inverter with LCD screen – allowing students and teachers to see the amount of electricity coming into the school from the solar panels
Data Logging Accessories - to output to computers with the ability to input to classroom computer programs for additional educational resources.
Connection to the Grid Electricity Network with Bi-directional meter to calculate refunds for electricity not used by the school.

$30,000 is made available to install:

Larger solar systems.
Rainwater Tanks
Passive Solar innovations e.g. sky lights, shade awnings, lighting upgrades
Extended Solar Power systems such as solar pumps from rainwater tanks etc.
Other energy efficiency measures.

Contact Solar Technology and arrange for us to come and present a tailored solution for your school.
